Things I've memorized when I'm riding a bus

I'm living in Bulacan while I'm working in Quezon City and I go home everyday riding a provincial bus. For the past one year that I've been doing this routine Bulacan-Q.C. and vice versa I've already memorized the spiel of the vendors when they were inside the bus selling their products. Here are some of those spiel:

  1. Ah tubig, tubig mam/sir 10 pesos lang malamig nagyeyelo (and when you buy it they'll give you a bottle of ice not water and it's annoying)
  2. Munchkins po mam, bili na kayo ng may makain sa byahe
  3. mane, mane, mane (that's how they pronounce it) bili na kayong mane mainit pa bagong luto malutong (I bought it once 'coz of the aroma that will cause you to crave unfortunately I was a bit disappointed because they'd mixed it with luma at makunat)
Those are some of their spiel and sometimes it's really annoying but once in a while they've made smile. :-)
It's part of being a Filipino, you'll do everything just to earned money and I salute them. :)))

When the PRINCESS met her PRINCE

Last May 14,2011 I went to Tagaytay for a wedding since I’m part of the Redawn Events, a wedding planner/coordinator. I’m so excited that day because another wedding for the team and another love and inspiring story.
The bride  checked-in at Taal Vista Hotel for the preparation together with her family and some of the entourage. While the groom was in Villa De Oro where the reception was held. I’m the bride assistant that day so I had all the chance to interact with the couple.
During the program at the reception, I found out the story behind on how the couple met and started their love story and it surprised me a lot.Are you excited to know it? Ok here we go!
The bride is working in Makati med where in the groom is working in Australia a a Mechanical Engr. His cousin who also work in Makati med was the reason how their love story began. One day, the groom’s cousin told the bride and three other girls that they’ll be having a lunch date without even knowing that they’ll be dating with one man and it was the groom.During the date and to cut the long story short, when the groom looked at the bride he suddenly felt the magic and said “she’s the one”. After some courting, the bride gave her yes to him and 1 month passed by and the bride got a wedding proposal and without any hesitation she said yes <3.
While we were at the holding room waiting for the program to start, the bride told me that the groom promised that he’ll be back to marry her but the bride was in doubt if the groom will make his promise. The groom said to her  O di ba bumalik ako?” with a sweet smile on his lips *so sweet). Long distance relationship is not that easy especially when you’re just starting to build and grow your love story but they made it! :) To tell you guys the truth I was surprised when I heard that story but what is more surprising is when the Matron of Honor who also the bride’s sister gave them a message and divulge something about the bride.
During their photo shoot
The groom was her first boyfriend at the age of 28. Tear fell when the matron of honor told this as part of her message. According to her, when her ate(bride) introduced the groom in their family she knew that her ate really loved the guy because this is the first time she bring a guy in their house. (All the people in the crowd we’re crying including me coz of the story and it gave us somehow a “kilig” factor.) They were so thankful that finally her ate saw already his “Sweet Prince”. The bride’s pet name was PRINCESS and they called each other sweet” that’s why his name in her phonebook was “sweet prince” . They were really in love, the way they talked to each other, the way the groom hold and kiss his bride like there’s no tomorrow you can feel that love is in the air.
Such an inspiring love story to share. Sometimes, our basis on loving the person or to tell ourselves that we love them is on how long you’ve known each other. But this story proved that we’re wrong. Once you feel the magic, grab it and don’t let the chance passed  by, coz who know’s maybe his/her the prince/princess that will complete the missing part of you. I want to share with you one of my favorite song title “Love moves in mysterious way” Yes it is!
Me with the Couple

This story inspired me not to loose hope and once more to believe that love is still existing! Happy reading! Till next time!
Much Love,
Jian <3

God's Greatest Gift

I am so blessed for having my Mom in my life as well as my siblings. She is my lucky charm and precious gem as well.
Being a mother is the toughest job in this world. No day off, no overtime pay and most especially no retirement. From the day that they carry us on their womb, for an hour to a day in labor room and a breath taking moment when we finally born. I'st just the start of those sacrifices they have encountered since they began to be a mother. As we grow older, she is always there to support and guide us in every decision that we make.
My mom is my life. No one can replace her in my heart no matter what happen. I still remember when I was a little girl, they keep on telling me “Oh you really look like your mom”. Then one day, back in my teenage days, others will ask if she is my sister and I cannot help myself but to laugh without answering them. Hahaha She’s a good provider too. She makes sure that she can give us what we want as long as she can. My mom is always there for us to support us in our chosen path. She raised us on her own. Never in my life that I heard, my mom telling us the she is tired and wants to quit instead she decided to go to other country to give us a better life. But sometimes we do have misunderstandings and I know she was hurt with those word’s I've said but still she always forgive me no matter what mistakes I did and keep on telling me “alam mo jian, mas mahal kita kesa sa mga kapatid mo”. I feel so guilty every time I remembered those days that I have been selfish and sarcastic to her.
Mom, I just want to say thank you for being a good mother to us in your own way. I feel so sorry for not being a good daughter to you. However, you will always be number one in my heart. I love you and I miss you!

I Love Weddings!

As I grew up and see the real world especially the idea of getting married and having your own family gave me an idea not to get married. Yes, you read it right. Before, I don’t believe in marriage for one reason. Why spending thousands of money for your dream wedding where in the end you’ll end up separated. That’s how I see marriage before, but then one day I changed my mind and here’s the story behind it.

One day a good friend of mine asked me if it’s okay to substitute her as a wedding coordinator because she has an appointment that time. At first, I’m in doubt if I can make it since it’s my first time to have a wedding event. After a long conversation, finally I said yes. I don’t have any idea what does a wedding coordinator all about until that day came. I’m so excited since it’s my first wedding event. They taught me everything that I need to do and what else do I need to learn. Actually it’s kinda easy at the same time complicated because we want to give the client the best wedding they’re dreaming of. It’s not the first and last wedding I’ve been to, ‘cause after that, the REDAWN EVENTS team, trusted me and included me as part of their team. I’ve been to different weddings like Catholic, Iglesia ni Cristo and Christian weddings and learned different wedding ceremony. It inspired me a lot and somehow helped me to change my mind about the wrong idea of getting married. Starting that day, I’m dreaming of having my own wedding.

Every girls want to see their selves walking on aisle while playing their wedding song, wearing a wedding gown and holding a bouquet  of fresh flowers while saying “ I DO” in front of the man of their dreams. Even though I am not yet married, I can almost tell how does it feels likes as I’ve seen to some of our bride while preparing for the big day of their life. Some of them woke up early ‘cause of excitement, while others got so nervous when the wedding ceremony is about to begin. In short, it was a mixed emotion. J If you can see the happiness in their eyes, the smiles on their face probably you don’t need to be a bride for you to understand how does it feels.

All I can say is no matter how simple or elegant the wedding is, it is unique on their own way and the love story behind it. ♥
I love being wedding coordinator. It’s not the compensation I received; it’s more on the experience. It’s all PRICELESS. The entire effort is worthy. No matter how tiring it is, no matter how far the venue as long as you have the passion and you really loves what you are doing for sure you’ll succeed. J At the end of the day, you’ll find the great happiness in your heart and a very fulfilling moment in your life.♥♥♥
As of now, I already have my dream wedding and it was all set in my mind. All I have to do is to look for a GROOM. Hahahaha I know he’s on his way already. Lolz

Much love,
Jian ♥♥♥
