Froyo First Timer

FROYO? ? (Frozen Yogurt) Eeewww! That’s my reaction every time that my friends ask me to buy Froyo. I’m not a fan of Yogurts actually even if I ‘m not sure how it taste. (Judgmental right? Lol) According to my friends, it has a sour taste but it’s healthier than the usual ice cream. Well, I think everybody deserves a chance that’s why after we watched the Hunger Games which is EPIC, together with my cousins, we decided to have some Froyo at RED MANGO Trinoma.

Toppings!

We ordered the family size of Froyo and what can I say?? AWESOME! We topped it  of Crushed Chocolates, M&M’s , Fresh Mango and Chocolate Morsel. J

Our Froyo!

I fell in love with Froyo, plus the fact that it’s healthy! Wohooo! My new found love! Well, lesson learned? There’s no harm in trying and there’s always a first time for everything!

Me with our Froyo

Happy Eating! J

We enjoyed it!

Incomplete :(

People see me as a happy person. Maybe because the way I laugh like there is no tomorrow or the way I crack a joke and make them happy. But what they did not know is how much I want to feel the real happiness that I’m longing for a long time.:( I feel so wasted and empty. It feels like I don’t have the chance to be happy.I’m surrounded of people who is happily married, people who already found their special someone and its not that easy coz I really feel sorry for myself. :((
Some of them keep on telling me that “Its OK,you’re still young and who knows one day you’ll find the one for you”.Its easy for them to say that coz they were not under my shoe and its hard for me to accept that out of a million people here on earth-I’m still single. I’m still hoping that one day when I wake up Ill find my ONE GREAT LOVE.

PYM Rocks!

I grew up being part of an organization in a church. I’ve learned a lot since I became part of a youth organization in Our Lady of Grace Parish in Caloocan. It was called Parish Youth Ministry or PYM for short. :) I joined PYM when I was in high school and it really changed the whole me. I met new friends that became a precious gem for me. No one can replace them in my heart and a part of me won’t be complete without them and our memories together. After not seeing each other for 5 years, I planned a mini reunion and contacted them if they willing to have to. From the date, place, who’ll be joining and their schedule up to the last minute of changing of time. Finally, the most awaited day came! Yey!.

Finally after 10 jurassic years, nakapasok na din kami and started to have our orders. We are all hungry that time and we’re still waiting for Marie and Alvin. When they arrived, Kuya Rocky lead the prayer before meal. :)) How religious we are right?

July 29, 2011.
After how many months not seeing each other finally we’re back in our Friday habit.Since it’s friday, Me and Kat decided to go in our best friend’s house to sleep over. I waited for Kat and we ate first before heading off to our bff. I know that there’s a typhoon, but I didn’t expect what happened to us before we reached the house. Kat bought slippers with no reason, we just passed by in a slipper shop. (yaman di ba?) haha When we go outside the mall, a heavy rain welcome us! One GREAT LOVE.

I’d love to hear different love stories and I do also believe that each stories are unique. One lazy afternoon while surfing the net and looking for a love story, I stumbled with a new,heart-breaking and great love story. It was KATIE KIRKPATRICK’s wedding story. Don’t forget to ready your handkerchief before you read this.
Katie Kirkpatrick’s story is a powerful reminder that we can still find joy in the midst of suffering tragedy by focusing on and celebrating the present moment.
On Valentine’s Day, 2002, Katie Kirkpatrick, then a freshman at Rochester College (a small Christian college in Rochester Hills, Michigan), was diagnosed with a malignant brain tumor. Undaunted, Katie strove to keep up with her studies, but she suffered another setback in 2003 when she was diagnosed with an inoperable lung tumor wrapped around her pulmonary artery. Nonetheless, in 2004 the resilient Katie took part in champion cyclist Lance Armstrong’sRide for the Roses cancer fundraiser.
On January 15, 2005, twenty-one-year-old Katie—the girl “with a contagious smile and unrelenting optimism” who had been battling cancer for three years—married twenty-three-year-old Lapeer County sheriff’s deputy Nick Goodwin, her high school sweetheart and the love of her life, at Church of Christ in Hazel Park, Michigan.

Katie Kirkpatrick and her fiance, Nick, rest prior to their wedding. Katie has terminal cancer and spends hours in chemotherapy. Here Nick waits while she finishes one of the sessions.

Even in pain and dealing with her organs shutting down, with the help of morphine, Katie took care of every single wedding plan. Her dress had to be adjusted several times due to her constant weight loss.

An expected guest was her oxygen tank. Katie had to use it during the ceremony and reception. Katie’s parents look on.

In the middle of the party Katie had to rest for a bit and catch her breath. The pain doesn’t allow her to stand for long periods of time.

Katie passed away just five days after her wedding at the McLaren Regional Medical Center in Flint, Michigan
Nick said of the wedding and Katie’s passing:
It was wonderful. It was a dream come true. She was the most beautiful angel ever—just caring and selfless, and such an inspiration to everyone. She was always smiling no matter what happened, no matter what news she got. She was as close to perfect as they come.

——-> I can’t stop my tears the very first time I read their love story. I read this with mixed emotions of joy and sadness.  Joy because despite of knowing that soon she’ll die she has the courage to live a normal and happy life. Sad because she’s too young to suffer from this sickness and I know she has lot of things to do if she’d given a chance to live a long life. :( Love is not selfish. That’s how they show their love to each other despite of knowing that they won’t be together for so long. How I wish there’s a lot of Nick in this world and Katie as well. I salute and admired them both! May she rest in peace. :))

I miss being a student :(

When I’m still a student, I really want to graduate so that I can go to work and earn money on my own. I’ve been working for almost 1 and half year and have my own money. But then, once in a while every time I saw a group of students, I suddenly miss the good old times when I’m also like them. I can see students everywhere. When I’m riding a bus and some of them fell asleep (even if they’re standing), reading books and I think they’re also memorizing some stuffs. I miss buying school supplies during new school year or semester and of course who’ll not gonna miss the long lines during enrollment right? Unless you were studying in a exclusive school but in my case I studied in a government school so expect a big numbers of enrollees every semester. Here are some of the good old days photos during my college days.

Teacher’s day!
while our Prof. was teaching haha
Finals in our Personality Development subject at Max’s restaurant
Enchanted Kingdom and Tagaytay Trip!
…Graduation Day!! woot woot!
with our favorite Prof. Deane (at my left side)
tadahhh! My ultimate college crush! Basketball varsity! Kenneth Reyes! woot woot!
And while I’m looking for the other photos that I posted in Friendster, I found out that they reformat their site so all of my photos and notes and other stuff were gone! Fudge! I don’t have any copy of some of them! :(((

Things I've memorized when I'm riding a bus

I'm living in Bulacan while I'm working in Quezon City and I go home everyday riding a provincial bus. For the past one year that I've been doing this routine Bulacan-Q.C. and vice versa I've already memorized the spiel of the vendors when they were inside the bus selling their products. Here are some of those spiel:

  1. Ah tubig, tubig mam/sir 10 pesos lang malamig nagyeyelo (and when you buy it they'll give you a bottle of ice not water and it's annoying)
  2. Munchkins po mam, bili na kayo ng may makain sa byahe
  3. mane, mane, mane (that's how they pronounce it) bili na kayong mane mainit pa bagong luto malutong (I bought it once 'coz of the aroma that will cause you to crave unfortunately I was a bit disappointed because they'd mixed it with luma at makunat)
Those are some of their spiel and sometimes it's really annoying but once in a while they've made smile. :-)
It's part of being a Filipino, you'll do everything just to earned money and I salute them. :)))
